Privacy Policy for Blocks

1. Introduction

Blocks ("we," "our," "the App," or "the Game") is a casual puzzle game. We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little data as possible. The Game does not require an account, does not contain advertisements, and does not offer in-app purchases. This policy describes the limited data the App handles, primarily anonymous analytics used to improve the Game.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following gameplay data is stored only on your device (in iOS / Android local app storage) and is never transmitted to our servers:

• High Score: Your personal best score
• Theme Selection: The visual theme you have chosen (e.g., Meadow, Ocean, Candy)
• Audio Settings: Music and sound-effect volume levels, haptics on/off
• Game State: Your current in-progress game so you can resume after closing the App
• First-launch Flag: A boolean indicating whether you have launched the App before

You can clear all of this data at any time by uninstalling the App.

2.2 Anonymous Analytics (Firebase Analytics by Google)

The Game uses Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to collect anonymous, aggregated usage information that helps us understand how players interact with the Game and improve it. The data collected by Firebase Analytics includes:

• Anonymous device identifier (such as the IDFA on iOS or the Android Advertising ID), used in a non-identifying way
• Device model, operating system version, and screen resolution
• App version and build
• Approximate geographic region (country / city level, derived from IP)
• App events such as session start, level start, game over, and score milestones
• Crash reports and basic performance metrics

This information is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Privacy and Security Information. We use this data only in aggregated form. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with any other personal data.

2.3 What We Do NOT Collect

• No name, email address, phone number, or postal address
• No precise location (no GPS, no Wi-Fi positioning)
• No photos, videos, audio recordings, microphone, or camera access
• No contacts, calendar, or other personal device data
• No social-network profile information
• No payment or billing information (the Game has no in-app purchases)

3. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above only to:

• Run the Game on your device (saving progress, settings, and high score locally)
• Understand how players, in aggregate, use the Game so we can improve gameplay, balancing, and stability
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs across different device models and OS versions
• Comply with legal obligations where applicable

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or behavioural targeting. We do not sell your data.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your data are:

• Legitimate Interests: Operating, improving, and securing the Game (Firebase Analytics, crash reporting)
• Contract: Providing the Game functionality you requested (local save data)
• Consent: Where required by your device or local law (for example, the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt)
• Legal Obligation: Where we must process or retain data to comply with applicable law

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

The Game shares limited, anonymous data only with the following third-party service in order to function:

• Google Firebase (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics if enabled): Provides anonymous analytics and crash reporting. See Firebase Privacy Information.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not sell your personal information.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public.

6. Data Retention

• Local data on your device: Kept until you uninstall the App or clear app data
• Firebase Analytics data: Retained by Google according to the Firebase data-retention settings (typically up to 14 months for event data); aggregated reports may be kept longer
• Crash logs: Retained for a limited period sufficient to investigate and resolve issues

7. Data Security

We rely on Google Firebase's standard security measures (encryption in transit and at rest, access controls) for the anonymous analytics data we collect through it. Locally stored game data is protected by your device's operating-system sandboxing. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request information about what data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal exceptions
• Object or Restrict: Object to or request restriction of certain processing
• Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Complain: Lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in your country

Because the Game does not require an account and does not collect personally identifying information, in most cases you can exercise the right to deletion simply by uninstalling the App and resetting the advertising identifier on your device. 9. International Data Transfers

Firebase Analytics processes data on servers operated by Google, which may be located outside your country of residence (including in the United States). Where data is transferred from the EEA or UK, Google relies on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google's documentation for details.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA):

• Right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold
• Right to delete personal information (subject to exceptions)
• Right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising
• Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

11. Children's Privacy

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the details below and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Where applicable, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws.

12. Push Notifications and Tracking Prompts

The Game does not currently send remote push notifications. On iOS, you may see the standard App Tracking Transparency prompt the first time the Game launches; declining it disables the advertising identifier from being shared with Firebase, and the Game will continue to function normally.

13. Links to Other Sites

The Game itself does not contain links to external websites. This Privacy Policy may include links to third-party policies (such as Google's) for transparency; we are not responsible for the content of those external pages.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this page. Where required by law, we will also notify you in-app or through the App Store listing. Your continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

15. Your Consent

By downloading and using Blocks, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and consent to the limited data handling described above. If you do not agree with this policy, please discontinue use of the Game.
